San Diego Bathtub Refinishing - Recoloring - Repair with 3in1 Bathtub Refinishing

The following is a description of our products and procedures:

Step One:
- The technician looks for any mildew:
- If there is mildew it is removed (ie. Mildew on the caulking)

Step Two:
- The surface is stripped (If Needed):
- The stripping compound is brushed on the surface
- As the old paint is lifted off, it is cleansed.

Step Three:
- The surface is washed and cleaned with soapy water.

Step Four:
- The technician removes the finish:
- We use ETCH a Hydroflouric Acid Compound that removes the top layer of the finish.
- ETCH is used to bring the finish down to a rough surface.
- ETCH also makes the Primer adhere better.
- This product is left on the surface for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step Five:
- The Technician makes repairs:
- Bondo & Fiberglass is used to repair any chips and cracks.

Step Six:
- We then protect area against overspray:
- Masking Tape and Paper are placed on the walls and surrounding areas.
- Floors are covered and plastic is used to cover vanity, walls and any other piece of furniture or areas that need to be protected against overspray.

Step Seven:
- The 2 part undercoat is sprayed:
- One Part Epoxy and the other Resin

Step Eight:
- The Top Coat is our final step:
- The Top Coat we use is resin made Synthetic Porcelain and contains a Premium Acrylic Urethane.

For best results we suggest a 24-Hour waiting period before the new surface is used. This allows the Topcoat to finish it’s curing time.
